Ant Control Service In Bangalore

Ant Control Service in Bangalore

Ants can be a nuisance when they invade your home. Effective ant control requires a combination of professional treatment and some preventive measures on your part. Here’s how our ant control service works:

Our Part:

Internal Treatment: Depending on the extent of your ant problem, we may provide an internal or external ant treatment. For internal treatment, we use a low-toxic ant bait placed in areas where you see ant trails.

External Treatment: Externally, we apply a product called Bayer around the perimeter of your house.

Your Part:

Preparation: Before the treatment, it’s essential to prepare your home. Wipe down countertops, clean under appliances to remove food scraps, and make sure open jars of honey, syrups, or sugars are sealed properly.

After the Treatment: It’s common to continue seeing ants for up to two weeks after the treatment. This is because the ants carry the insecticide back to their nest, which helps eliminate the entire colony, including the queen. If you’re provided with ant bait, use it as per the technician’s instructions. If you see scattered or dying ants, it’s a sign that the treatment is working.

About the Chemical: We use an eco-friendly chemical that is non-toxic and approved by the health department. It is safe for use around children and pets.

Ant Control in Bangalore:

Ants are not only a nuisance but can also carry unsanitary elements into your home. They travel through various paths before reaching your home, making it important to keep them away.

Internal Treatment: We use low-toxic ant bait internally to eradicate the entire ant colony, including the queen. If your ant problem is limited to the inside of your house, the bait alone may be sufficient.

External Treatment: Externally, we use a product called Bayer, which is sprayed around the perimeter of your house.

How the Ant Treatment Works:

Both the ant bait and external spray work similarly. Ants come into contact with these products, carry them back to the nest, and share them with other ants, ultimately eradicating the entire colony, including the queen.

The advantage of this treatment is that you don’t need to locate the nest; the ants do the work for you.

Protecting Your Home:
Inside:
  • Clean up spills and food crumbs promptly.
  • Empty rubbish bins regularly.
  • Do not feed pets outside.
  • Store food in pest-proof containers.
  • Rinse out jars and containers before placing them in rubbish and recycling bins.
Outside:
  • Keep trees and shrubs trimmed away from your house.
  • Ensure gutters and storm drains are free of debris.
  • Watch for new ant mounds or nests around your home.
  • Keep trash bags sealed in closed rubbish bins.
  • Seal doors and windows.
Is the Treatment Safe for Children and Pets?

The ant bait we use, such as Maxforce Quantum, is safe for use around children and pets. Once it has completely dried, children and pets can re-enter the treated area.

Preparing for an Ant Treatment:

Internal: Clean up clutter within the house as it can introduce pests and provide harborage areas for ants. Limit paper goods and cardboard boxes.

External: Maintain your lawn, keep the backyard clean, and store toys properly.

What to Expect After an Ant Treatment:

It’s common to continue seeing ants for up to three weeks after the treatment. If you notice scattered or dying ants, this indicates that the treatment is working.

Warranty:

We offer a 90-day warranty on our ant treatments. If you continue to experience ant problems after six weeks, contact us, and we will send a technician to address the issue at no cost.

Identifying Ant Types:

Identifying different types of ants can be crucial for effective ant control. Here are some ways to distinguish ants from termites and some common ant species found in Bangalore and the surrounding areas:

Ways to Identify Ants vs. Termites:
  1. Body Shape:
    • Ants: Ants have a pinched or constricted waist, giving them a figure-eight appearance.
    • Termites: Termites do not have this pinched waist and appear more uniform in shape.
  2. Antennae Shape:
    • Ants: Ants have elbowed or bent antennae.
    • Termites: Termites have straight antennae without any bends.
  3. Wing Size and Shape:
    • Ants: Ants have forewings (front wings) that are larger than their hindwings (back wings), and their wings may vary in size.
    • Termites: Termites have wings of equal size and shape.
  4. Wing Color:
    • Ants: Ant wings are usually brownish or transparent.
    • Termites: Termite wings are typically grayish or milky-white and may be longer than their body.
  5. Wing Attachment:
    • Ants: Ant wings are firmly attached to their bodies.
    • Termites: Termite wings can be easily removed.
